If you only read one thing: choose the access model before the sport. A published football trial, an age-banded combat class, an enrolled-pupil school programme and a permanently closed trampoline park can all appear in a kids-and-youth directory, but they are not interchangeable. Confirm the child's age group, exact venue, session time, complete cost and guardian rules before travelling.

The directory currently contains 14 kids-and-youth records. One, JUMPZ Harbor Pattaya, is permanently closed; BOUNCE Pattaya is unverified because the operator's current venue list has no Pattaya branch. Regents is a school programme rather than a public walk-in facility. The useful shortlist therefore starts with status and eligibility, not the raw count.

The decision: certainty, location or pathway

Families usually have to trade one kind of certainty for another. AF Academy publishes useful short-pack prices and age bands but asks families to confirm the exact training ground. Planet Football publishes the clearest progression from open sessions to development and invite-only academy squads, but it uses two East Pattaya grounds. Rusich Club publishes multiple combat-class prices and timetables, yet one membership must not be assumed to cross disciplines.

Other active academies are contact-first. Pattaya City Football Academy has current operator activity and a stated training field but no dependable public price or complete timetable. RSR Grand Taekwondo has current competition evidence and a live academy listing, but the public sources do not provide an age-by-age weekly schedule or tuition table. A missing tariff is a reason to ask better questions, not a reason to discard a confirmed academy.

Football: start with the entry session

AF Academy divides participants into Preparatory ages 3–6, Junior 7–9, Intermediate 10–14 and Senior 14 and older. Its current IP Soccer Club timetable places the two younger groups at 17:00–18:00 and the older groups at 18:00–19:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The operator describes other Pattaya service areas, so the family must ask which ground hosts the chosen child. The published Naklua address is a company contact, not proof of the session entrance.

AF's tariff is useful for a short test. The operator page checked 26 July 2026 lists a free first trial, one 60-minute session at ฿600, eight at ฿3,000 and twelve at ฿3,600. The products carry different rescheduling and inclusion statements, so request the validity, missed-session and tournament terms for the exact purchase. A cheap per-session calculation is meaningless if the assigned pitch or days do not fit the family.

Planet Football provides a clearer progression. Its Saturday open sessions at the sports hall run from 09:00 to 10:30: Mini Kicks for ages 4–6, Kiddy Kickers for 7–9 and Soccer School for 10–13. Each page listed ฿400 per player when checked 26 July 2026. The development programme separates ages 7–10 and 11–15 and uses both Planet Football Stadium and FC Planet Stadium at different times. Its listed ฿2,500 calendar-month fee and separate ฿2,500 yearly membership should be confirmed together before joining.

The invite-only FC Planet Academy is not a first-visit product. The operator describes weekday training and competition for selected players, normally reached through Soccer School or Development. Families seeking a performance pathway may value that structure; a holiday family wanting one session should use the open programme and avoid assuming an academy place.

Pattaya City FA is the contact-first football alternative. Its operator page identifies MC Football Field beside the railway road near Chaiyaphruek and published a friendly-match notice for 28 July 2026, supporting current activity. The public sources do not state a complete age range, weekly timetable, session length or current fee. Send the child's age and experience, then ask for the group, exact start, pitch pin, teaching language, footwear and trial rule.

Combat sport: discipline and contact level matter

Rusich is filed under kids and youth because it publishes age-specific groups, but it is not a football club despite its legacy ID. Its operator pages list wrestling combining judo, sambo and jiu-jitsu, plus MMA, hand-to-hand fighting, grappling, Muay Thai and functional training. Children's wrestling ages 4–10 is listed Tuesday and Thursday from 17:30 to 18:30; children's hand-to-hand fighting uses Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the same time. Older age bands have separate products.

Rusich prices checked 26 July 2026 include ฿350 for named single combat classes. Children's wrestling lists a free trial and ฿2,500 monthly; children's hand-to-hand fighting lists a free trial and ฿3,000 monthly. Grappling from age ten is listed on Saturday and costs ฿1,200 monthly, without a displayed free-trial line. Ask whether a membership covers only the named discipline, which uniform or protective equipment is needed and how much contact is used in the child's group.

RSR Grand offers a different evidence set. The academy's current place and partner listing agree on its Wonder Space Pattaya location and contact, and an official GMAC page documents the RSR Pattaya Taekwondo Championship held on 20 June 2026. Those facts show an active academy and competition connection; they do not prove that every child trains for tournaments or that a beginner class starts at every point in the published 10:00–20:00 Tuesday-Sunday business window.

No current RSR Grand tuition, trial, uniform, grading or event tariff was found. Ask for the complete starting cost and whether it includes registration, dobok, belt, protective equipment or insurance. Families comparing other martial-arts records can use the kids-and-youth category, but should distinguish taekwondo, grappling and striking rather than comparing only monthly totals.

School facilities are not public facilities

Regents International School Pattaya publishes substantial pupil facilities: a 400-metre all-weather track, shaded Astroturf pitch, air-conditioned sports hall, fitness centre and two outdoor pools. Its programme lists football, swimming, athletics, rugby, cricket, volleyball, badminton, tennis, gymnastics, golf and Thai boxing among school options. Those facts matter to a family evaluating enrolment.

Those school facilities do not create a public track, pool or gym day pass. The school may announce specific camps with separate dates and eligibility, but an old or one-off camp brochure is not standing access. Visitors should not arrive expecting to hire a lane or pitch. For an announced camp, obtain the exact registration page, age range, fee, supervision, equipment and refund terms.

Closed and unverified trampoline records

Do not plan a Harbor Pattaya trampoline visit from old guides. JUMPZ Harbor Pattaya's exact Maps listing is permanently closed, and the operator's current location list has no JUMPZ branch there. BOUNCE Pattaya is a separate unverified legacy record: BOUNCE Thailand's current venue selector lists Bangkok branches but no Pattaya location, while the former Harbor address resolves to the closed JUMPZ identity.

Keeping those records visible prevents a family from being sent to a former attraction. Neither should appear in an active shortlist, price table or rainy-day plan. Use the status on the venue page, not an old brand description or photo.

A practical first-message checklist

• Give the child's exact age, previous experience and goal: first trial, regular recreation or competition pathway.
• Ask for the named group, start and finish, coach or teaching language, exact pin and entrance.
• Request the complete first payment: trial, tuition, registration, kit, uniform, equipment, grading, tournament and deposit.
• Confirm footwear, shin pads, protective equipment, water, changing facilities and whether any item can be hired.
• Ask whether a guardian may watch, where drop-off and collection happen and who must be contacted if the child is late or absent.
• Obtain the holiday, weather, cancellation, rescheduling and refund rules for the exact product.

For a holiday family, one published trial near the accommodation may be better than a theoretically stronger academy across town. For a relocating family, the long-term pathway, school calendar and travel rhythm matter more than the first-session discount.
