ISS Boxing and Muay Thai
The current operator identity is ISS Boxing and Muay Thai, not WKO. The official classes page is unusually useful because it separates three different products - general gym access, boxing and Muay Thai classes, and the recovery or weight-cut room - instead of hiding them behind one vague monthly number.
What training is on offer
ISS presents itself as a boxing and Muay Thai gym first, with a broader training environment around that core. Its current classes page says the club offers boxing and Muay Thai classes Monday to Saturday from 14:00 to 15:30, while a separate general access product covers the wider gym and facilities.
The official sales language is old-school and fight-oriented rather than resort-polished. The same page says the gym was established in 1989 and still markets a hard-training identity, but the usable planning facts are the named products and times rather than the branding tone. For a traveller, the key practical difference is that ISS separates a coached combat-class purchase from a cheaper general-gym product.
The class page also describes the recovery or weight-cut room as including a sauna, ice bath and specialised cardio equipment room. That does not turn the venue into a spa or hotel wellness club; it simply means a second supporting product is sold alongside the ordinary gym and class options.
If you are comparing central combat options, start with the Muay Thai category and then the best Muay Thai guide. If the real question is weights access rather than coached striking, compare the Central Pattaya area guide and the 24-hour gyms guide instead.
What it costs
The official classes page, checked again on 2026-07-27, publishes three distinct 2026 products:
- Gym and facilities: THB 300 per day, THB 800 per week, THB 1,500 per month
- Boxing and Muay Thai classes: THB 1,000 per day, THB 4,000 per week, THB 8,000 per month
- Weight-cut / recovery room: THB 200 per day, THB 600 per week, THB 1,000 per month
The important planning point is that the lowest number is not the combat-class product. A visitor who wants coached Muay Thai should not compare the THB 300 day gym pass against another gym's class ticket as if they were the same purchase.
The same official page also advertises a 12-month sport visa at THB 45,000. Treat that as a separate long-term administrative product, not evidence that a short-stay traveller needs or should buy it.
Who it suits — and who it does not
ISS suits a central Pattaya traveller who wants an explicit combat-class tariff and is comfortable with one named class block rather than a sprawling resort timetable. It also suits someone who may want gym-only days and class days priced separately instead of being forced into one bundled plan.
It is a weaker fit for a visitor who wants a luxury camp setting, accommodation on site, a multi-class daily schedule or a completely frictionless tourist booking flow. The official site is useful, but it does not turn this into a resort-style product.
Getting there
The gym publishes 503/16 Moo 9, Pattaya Klang Road, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chonburi 20150 with phone +66 81 277 7772. Use the exact ISS map pin instead of searching old WKO wording, because the current public identity across the official site and social presence is ISS.
This is a central Pattaya / Pattaya Klang record. It is more practical for someone staying in the central corridor than an East Pattaya camp that requires a longer daily transfer.
Before you go
The official class page says general gym access runs 09:00-21:00 Monday-Saturday, with the boxing and Muay Thai class block 14:00-15:30 Monday-Saturday. Before travelling, ask whether the chosen date follows that same pattern, whether beginners can join the class, and whether gloves, wraps or other gear are included or separate.
Also confirm whether the recovery room can be bought alone or only alongside another product, and whether the sport-visa offer has any conditions that matter to a long-stay traveller. Central gyms often look simple online until the buyer asks what the exact product includes.
What we could not verify
- No current Sunday schedule was published on the checked official classes page.
- The public sources do not publish a class-by-class coach roster or private-lesson tariff.
- Equipment-rental, towel and locker terms were not stated on the checked pages.
- The operator's public channels are not perfectly aligned on every time detail, so same-day confirmation is still sensible.
